Quantum Mechanics-Based Anti-Stratification Device for Liquid Processing in Food Production and Environmental Protection
29-05-2025

This device maintains oxygen levels and prevents stratification in liquids using a physical method, offering a solution to the limitations of previous techniques. It operates with a lower initial investment cost, higher stability, easy installation, and can be combined with other methods for improved efficiency and longer lifespan. The device has been researched, experimentally manufactured, and applied in Vietnam with a quality comparable to advanced global technologies, yet at a price point suitable for local conditions. It brings science and technology closer to everyone and every household.

Economic Efficiency:

The initial investment cost is only about one-quarter of current advanced technologies. It is applicable for both household-level aquaculture and large-scale aquaculture zones. Particularly, traditional fish sauce production facilities can benefit greatly from the device, with low initial costs and high production efficiency. At Tran Van Hon Fish Sauce Facility, production time was reduced by one-third, the quality of fish sauce improved with clearer color and more uniform taste, and monthly sales increased from 5,000 to 8,000 bottles. Within less than three months, the investment in the technology was recouped, without affecting the existing production process of the Tran Van Hon facility.

Technical Efficiency:

  • The device is fully designed and manufactured in Vietnam, making it easy to repair or replace components quickly according to usage needs.
  • No specialized training is required to operate the device, unlike other advanced technologies.
  • It consumes significantly less energy compared to similar advanced methods.
  • Quick installation and easy operation.

Social Efficiency:

This is a highly stable and safe physical method, environmentally friendly and non-toxic. It does not use chemicals or microorganisms, yet increases oxygen levels and reduces algae in aquaculture ponds. It is a comprehensive, effective, and sustainable solution to prevent water pollution in aquaculture, thereby protecting the health of workers and local communities. Additionally, integrating the device into urban canals can help reduce foul odors and algae accumulation. It can also be applied in traditional fish sauce villages, helping preserve cultural heritage. For example, the Tran Van Hon Production Facility confidently applied the technology, achieved a 4-star OCOP certification from Can Tho City, and was listed in the Top 50 Asia–Pacific Brands in 2023. The product was also nominated by Can Tho City for national 5-star OCOP evaluation.

Notably, this quantum mechanics-based anti-stratification device for liquid processing in food production and environmental protection is the finalized version of a previously recognized grassroots-level initiative titled “Physical Method for Maintaining Oxygen and Reducing Algae in Aquaculture Ponds.” This solution was officially recognized by the Can Tho Department of Science and Technology in 2021 (Decision No. 276/QD-SKHCN) and approved for nationwide application in 2023 by the People's Committee of Can Tho City (Decision No. 385/QD-UBND).

Currently, the device is being practically applied in several locations in Can Tho City as well as other provinces in the Mekong Delta region.
