In the solemn and heartfelt atmosphere as the entire country commemorates the 135th anniversary of the birth of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 – May 19, 2025) — the great leader of the nation who dedicated his life to independence, freedom, and the happiness of the people — and in celebration of Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18), the Department of Science and Technology of Can Tho organized a football exchange event aimed at fostering connection, sharing, and spreading positive values in work, study, creativity, and physical training.

The event took place on May 17, 2025, at the football field of the Center for Application of Scientific and Technological Advances. It gathered eight football teams and more than 100 public employees and workers from the Departments of Science and Technology of Can Tho, Soc Trang, and Hau Giang. This was a valuable opportunity for participants to engage in healthy physical activity, strengthen community bonds, and ignite the spirit of dedication.

This football exchange was not only a wholesome recreational activity but also carried deep educational meaning. It embodied the spirit of "Healthy to learn, work, and contribute," continuing President Ho Chi Minh’s ideology of balancing physical fitness with intellectual development. In every match, whether as players or supporters, everyone showcased enthusiasm, solidarity, honesty, and mutual respect — core values in both science and life.

The matches were held in a vibrant and exciting atmosphere, filled with sportsmanship, honesty, and unity. Each player gave their all, delivering impressive plays and memorable moments for the audience. After a day of thrilling competition, the tournament concluded successfully with beautiful performances, bright smiles, and strengthened connections between participating units. The Organizing Committee presented awards to outstanding teams and recognized the active, spirited participation of all groups and individuals.

Through this football exchange, the Center for Application of Scientific and Technological Advances hopes to continue spreading the spirit of Ho Chi Minh — living simply, training persistently, and acting for the community — while promoting sports and creative research movements among staff, lecturers, students, and workers.
